It's my default setting to have a healthy scepticism for anything that issues forth from political platforms.<br /><br />With that in mind, it would be a good question to ask, "who benefits from this positioning?"<br /><br />The next question to ask is, "why is voter apathy amongst the American youth at an all-time low?"<br /><br />There are many ways to alienate people - and usually only one reason to do so... so that you can do whatever the hell you want.<br /><br />Informed people will not take Perry seriously.
